Periodontics

Periodontics is the treatment of the gums and bone which are the supporting structures of the teeth.  The periodontist is involved in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of these structures, as well as the maintenance of the health and function of these structures and tissues.

Prosthodontics encompasses bonding, veneers and crowns (caps) to reshape and enhance the appearance of your smile.  Bleaching is also available for discolored teeth.  Through the use of crowns, bridges, implants and dentures, the prosthodontist creates natural looking replacements for missing teeth.

Orthodontics utilizes the latest techniques to correct irregular, misaligned teeth as well as improve the growth of the jaw. The orthodontist's goal is to provide optimum esthetics and function of the jaw and teeth, in a timely manner.  We recommend that all children be evaluated by nine years of age and that adults make an appointment if they are unhappy with the position of their teeth.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery involves the use of state-of-the-art surgical techniques to treat diseases, injuries and deformities of the facial area.  The oral surgeon removes diseased and impacted teeth, places dental implants and treats disorders involving snoring and sleep apnea.  An oral surgeon also performs root-end surgery for failing root canals, orthognathic surgery for the correction of facial deformities and TMJ surgery.
